Sand Point Master Bathroom Remodel

Transom Light & Pocket Door

Sand Point Master Bathroom Remodel

Heated limestone Floor, Mirrored Cabinet, Pedestal Tub, Pocket Doors

Natural light was a design priority for this Sand Point master bathroom remodel. The exiting doorway to the tub room was relocated. A swing door was removed and replaced with a pocket door with a transom light above. In addition to natural light, ceiling & sconce lighting were added.

Flooring was replaced with heated stone tile floors. The old tub was removed and replaced with a free-standing pedestal tub.

The north wall elevation was redesigned to accommodate a larger shower & a mirrored linen closet.

  • Pocket Door Entrance to Bathroom

Swing Door between bedroom & bath was removed. It was replaced with a pocket door to maximize wall space & eliminate congestion.

  • Stained Rift-Cut White Oak Vanity with Limestone Countertop

New vanity was designed to be taller and to have an extra bank of drawers.

  • Mirrored Cabinet at Bathroom Entry

Cabinet was mirrored to refract light & to increase the feel of spaciousness.

  • Shower Entrance Glass Panel

Fixed panel of glass in the foreground helps creates a light & open shower.

  • Limestone Tile Floor

The limestone floor is heated in both the tub & vanity rooms.

  • Overview of Bathroom

A view toward the tub room from vanity area.

  • Tubroom Marble Tile Wainscoting

Warm toned marble tile contrasts the lime stone floor tile.

  • Traditional Footed Tub

Cast iron, enameled tub with hand held shower.

  • View of Shower from Tub Room

The door-less walk-in shower opening is adjacent to tub room. Remaining narrow space on shower wall became a linen closet with a mirrored door.

  • Mirrored Robe Cabinet

Stained, rift-cut, white oak robe cabinet. Mirrors were added to pick-up natural light.

  • Vanity & Cabinet Mirrors

Mirrored cabinet is reflected in the vanity mirror. The use of mirrors increase the sense of space & refract natural light.
